New Years To Do*

Ok, so I have always tried to read design books, but I can never seem to keep it up. After a couple of chapters of dry reading, my eyes gravitate towards something that is easier to do... Like watching movies and basically rotting my brain away with useless information.

So, here is a list of my books to read this year. I know that if i dont have a set date to have each book done by, then I will never keep up my reading, and at the end of the year I will have ended up reading nothing. So I have decided to give myself a timeline to work with. At the beginning of each month I will choose one of the following books to finish within that months given days.

Another thing I have never done is read the Bible all of the way thru. Regardless of your views on christianity or religion this is one book that has a lot of goodness in it.

Happy New Years everyone! Lets make it a good one!

Logotype

It has been a while since I have posted something on here, sorry for that. Here is a project I am working on for a fashion major my best friend sarah. The type is supposed to be reflecting the tall elegant feminine shapes of her designs. I am still finishing the rest of the typeface, but i will post updates when I can.

Further Schooling

So I recently talked with the legendary Kris Sowersby, and he suggested this school to further my education in typography. I am writing the head of the school to find out what I have to do to apply. so yeah, I might be studying over seas again!
Check out some of what the school is doing here, if you feel like it.

Type Publication

So as I promised, here are the shots of one of my more recent projects. This booklet showcases the characters that I have finished for the typeface Minn. It also contains a brief look into my feelings on typography and my inspirations when designing Minn. Please enjoy.

Digital Type Poster

This is my final project for my digital type class here in nz. It is along the lines of a type advertisement for my typeface. I hope you enjoy it.

p.s.
Please remember that this is all set by hand. I haven't put the font into fontlab yet so the kerning and leading are a little off. Also, I forgot to take a picture of my poster, so you will just have to suffer with this jpeg.

got them v.i.p. passes done!

so this is what i did all morning. screen-printing and having a blast by myself.
